Nerdy April Turns 1!

That's right! It has been a year since Nerdy April began blogging about her Space Adventures (why am I writing in third person?!). Wow!

Let's commemorate with some Nerdy April highlights!

First, there were all those posts about the Marshall Space Flight Center, I'm sure some of you probably stopped reading the blog after these posts caused you to fall asleep at your computer resulting in what I like to call "keyboard-head". Exhibit A, B, and C!

And then there was that time that I celebrated the 40th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing at the Space and Rocket Center. And I wrote an editorial that was published in two newspapers to commemorate the event!

I interviewed my friend Joyce about her super awesome Air Force job tracking weather at the shuttle abort sites!

(Don't judge...we look like crap because we smeared ashes on our faces and crawled through some mud...yup we're awesome like that ;-)

I wrote about the anniversary of our house fire and what I have learned about my family since then.

I shared my crazy family with you...

One of my posts about Diabetes was featured on one of the most famous Type-1 blogs out there Six Until Me. And I had my half-n-half anniversary with Diabetes.

I lost my grandpa, got a job and graduated college within a month.

I had some opinions about our Manned Space Flight Program, and had another editorial published in the Huntsville Times.

I talked about my new job as a Flight Test Engineer, the pimped out blackhawk, the Voice of the MTT, Briefings, and my pipe dream of being a Chinook Pilot.

I talked about "The BF" (the boyfriend) who puts up with all my nerdy-ness! And we went to an IZOD race!

I got the weiner dog Izzy! And the BF nick-named her Wiener von Braun! Why didn't I think of that!

And for those of you who have been following my FAA-saga...I am so happy to announce that as of yesterday I am cleared to fly! Woot Woot! Be looking for a post involving a sweet helicopter and the verb "fly"! So excited!!!
