It's been almost four months since the "F" and I became more like the "H" and I. I was going to write this post at three months, but we have been a bit busy, so better late than never right? A lot has changed in three months, and not necessarily directly related to that whole being married part, but the being married part has definitely helped me feel more at ease with all the changes.
We have both picked up grad school again. Well, it is "again" for me, and Chris's first quarter. Our dates are now weekends in front of our respective computers mumbling about the stupid e-mails and never ending research papers. But we try to break things up with a trip to the dog park or Home Depot (ha).
Probably the biggest change recently is the addition of my cousin to our humble abode. He has been helping us out so much while in search of a job, and its nice to have someone to hang out with Chris stays late at work!
We also are in the midst of several home improvement projects, so the crazy state of affairs inside our house is raising my stress levels just a notch!
And while all these changes have happened (or are happening), I am so thankful to have Chris as my husband. It may sound cliche, but he really is my best friend, and in so being helps to calm my fears and anxieties, dares me to choose the dangerous paint colors, and assures me grad school will only be a phase (mumble, mumble, mumble). He is there to remind me that we are in this together, and if I'm worried about something, he is right there and always will be ;-) I think I can get used to that!
